Beginning Memorial Day weekend North Atlanta Pediatrics will be closed on Saturdays through the end of July. The office will also be closed on Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. Thank you for your understanding.
We are excited that we now have a new patient portal – at the first of the year we switched to Follow My Health as our new patient portal. Please contact our office if you would like us to send you an invitation to join – you can not create an account without an invitation.
We know that many of you have been hearing about Enterovirus D-68. We recommend that you visit the following website for valuable information for parents:
Parents, many of you will soon be required to return forms for your child’s camp, school, sports, etc. Most of those forms requiring our input and signature can be completed if your child has had a complete physical exam in our office within the past year. Unfortunately we will not be able to complete your forms if they have only been here for a sick visit or have been seen elsewhere for their physical. Read your forms requirements carefully; occasionally the facility may require a more recent physical.
Starting with the 2014 school year the state of Georgia is requiring all students entering the 7th grad to have a Tdap and a Meningococcal vaccine. Make sure your children are ready for school by scheduling their annual physicals now. Our schedules are now open through June.
We are fast approaching the time to schedule your annual Well Child Visits. We now have schedules open through June and will soon be opening July and August. We recommend annual checkups after the age of three years and most of your camp, school, sports, etc. forms will require a well visit within the last year. Check with your insurance compnay if you have questions about coverage.
Tdap (Tetanus, diptheria and acellualar pertussis) and Meningococcal vaccine will be required for entry into 7th grade. We have been routinely recommending this for several years, but it is now a state requirement.
