Physicians
North Atlanta Pediatrics has five Physicians that are board certified in Pediatrics and Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Our Physicians have staff privileges at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Northside Hospital.

 

Dr. KnoxJohn Charles Knox, M.D.
Dr. Knox received his BA in History in 1974 at Davidson College and MD degree from Emory School of Medicine in 1978. His Pediatric Internship and Residency was with the Emory Affiliated Hospitals in 1978 – 1981. Dr. Knox also served as Chief Resident at Emory/Grady in 1982. Dr Knox is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has been in Private Practice Pediatrics in Atlanta from 1982 until the present. Dr Knox is married and has 2 children.

 

Dr. Fuller
Tama Fuller, M.D.
Dr. Fuller did both her undergraduate and graduate training at Emory University with her Residency training at Grady Hospital and Egleston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Fuller is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is married and has two sons. Dr. Fuller enjoys book club, gardening, tennis, walking and cheering for the Tar Heels!

 


Dr. HarrellSusan W. Harrell, M.D.

Dr. Harrell received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Georgia Tech and her Doctorate from Medical College of Georgia. Dr Harrell did her residency at the Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, South Carolina. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Medical Association of Georgia. She has been with North Atlanta Pediatrics since 1990. Dr. Harrell is married and has three children.


Dr. WeissPhilip Weiss, M.D.

Dr. Weiss attended college at the University of Michigan. He obtained his Medical degree and did his residency at Emory University. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Medical Association of Georgia. He has been with North Atlanta Pediatrics since 1996. Dr. Weiss is married with two children. He enjoys time with his family, gardening, cooking, movies and wine collecting.

 


Dr. SpandorferPip Spandorfer, M.D.

Dr Spandorfer, or as most people call him, “Dr Pip”, received his BA in Psychology from Emory University in 1991 and his MD from the Medical College of Georgia in 1995.  He obtained his pediatric training through the University of Pennsylvania at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as well as a chief residency year and a three-year fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.  He practiced general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine for three years in Philadelphia prior to relocating to Atlanta where he is also a pediatric emergency room physician at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.  He is married with 2 children and enjoys cycling.  He has been with North Atlanta Pediatrics since 2007.


Dr. WestKelly West, M.D.
Dr. West obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia.  She completed her pediatric residency training at Northwestern University’s Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.  She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics.  Dr. West joined North Atlanta Pediatrics in 2011.  She is married and has three children.

 


Dr. SilvaDennis Selva, M.D.
Dr. Selva received his B.A. in Biology from the University of Mississippi and his M.D. from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He completed his pediatric residency at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. He is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Selva is married with 3 children. Dr. Selva was born in Mississippi but as a small child his family moved to an American Military Base in Portugal. He is fluent in several languages including Spanish, Portuguese, French and Haitian Creole. Dr. Selva enjoys traveling, reading, cycling and time with family and friends.

 

Pediatric Nurse Practitioners

In addition, we have two Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. PNP’s are trained to provide comprehensive care to children and families including physical exams, diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury and more.

A Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) is a Bachelor’s prepared Registered Nurse with further formal education. They earn a Master’s Degree or Post Graduate Certificate, as well as passing written Boards offered by two national certifying agencies. Certification is maintained by yearly approved continuing education. PNP’s provide a broad range of primary care for children from birth through adolescence. PNP’s can perform physical exams, developmental assessments and manage common pediatric illnesses, while promoting wellness and education about the prevention of illness and health maintenance.


Roslyn KonterRoslyn Konter, C.P.N.P.

Roslyn was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and received her BSN from University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1976. She worked as a NICU and Peds ICU nurse at John Hopkins Hospital and then at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She was granted her P.N.P from Washington University School of Medicine/Maryville College in 1985. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and maintains yearly certification with them. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric NP as well as the Georgia Association of Pediatric NP. She is licensed by the State of Georgia as an RN and Advanced Practice Nurse. She began her P.N.P. career in St. Louis and joined North Atlanta Pediatrics in 1995. Roslyn is married with two grown sons, Aaron and David.

Jill Rosen

Jill Rosen, C.P.N.P
Jill was raised in New Jersey and received her BSN from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and her master’s degree from Georgia State University. She has worked at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Egleston and Scottish Rite. Currently, as well as NAPA, Jill works for the anesthesia department at Scottish Rite. She is certified yearly by Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the GA chapter of NAPNAP. Jill is married with two daughters, Allie and Gabrielle.
