North Atlanta Pediatrics has five Physicians that are board certified in Pediatrics and Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Our Physicians have staff privileges at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Northside Hospital.
John Charles Knox, M.D.
Dr. Knox received his BA in History in 1974 at Davidson College and MD degree from Emory School of Medicine in 1978. His Pediatric Internship and Residency was with the Emory Affiliated Hospitals in 1978 – 1981. Dr. Knox also served as Chief Resident at Emory/Grady in 1982. Dr Knox is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has been in Private Practice Pediatrics in Atlanta from 1982 until the present. Dr Knox is married and has 2 children.
Tama Fuller, M.D.
Dr. Fuller did both her undergraduate and graduate training at Emory University with her Residency training at Grady Hospital and Egleston Children's Hospital. She has practiced Pediatrics for almost 24 years, with 20 of those years with North Atlanta Pediatrics. Dr Fuller is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a married and has two sons, ages 20 and 18.
Susan W. Harrell, M.D.
Dr. Harrell received her Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Georgia Tech and her Doctorate from Medical College of Georgia. Dr Harrell did her residency at the Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, South Carolina. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Medical Association of Georgia. She has been with North Atlanta Pediatrics since 1990. Dr. Harrell is married and has three children.
Philip Weiss, M.D.
Dr. Weiss attended college at the University of Michigan. He obtained his Medical degree and did his residency at Emory University. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Medical Association of Georgia. He has been with North Atlanta Pediatrics since 1996. Dr. Weiss is married with two children. He enjoys time with his family, gardening, cooking, movies and wine collecting.
Pip Spandorfer, M.D.
Dr Spandorfer, or as most people call him, “Dr Pip”, received his BA in Psychology from Emory University in 1991 and his MD from the Medical College of Georgia in 1995. He obtained his pediatric training through the University of Pennsylvania at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as well as a chief residency year and a three-year fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. He practiced general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine for three years in Philadelphia prior to relocating to Atlanta where he is also a pediatric emergency room physician at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. He is married with 2 children and enjoys cycling. He has been with North Atlanta Pediatrics since 2007.
Kelly West, M.D.
Dr. West obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her pediatric residency training at Northwestern University's Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr. West is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics. Prior to relocating to Atlanta, she practiced at Children's Memorial's Urgent Care center. Dr. West joined North Atlanta Pediatrics in 2011. She is married and has one child.
Pediatric Nurse Practitioners
In addition, we have three Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. PNP's are trained to provide comprehensive care to children and families including physical exams, diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury and more.
A Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) is a Bachelor's prepared Registered Nurse with further formal education. They earn a Master's Degree or Post Graduate Certificate, as well as passing written Boards offered by two national certifying agencies. Certification is maintained by yearly approved continuing education. PNP's provide a broad range of primary care for children from birth through adolescence. PNP's can perform physical exams, developmental assessments and manage common pediatric illnesses, while promoting wellness and education about the prevention of illness and health maintenance.
Roslyn Konter, C.P.N.P.
Roslyn was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and received her BSN from University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1976. She was granted her P.N.P from Washington University School of Medicine/Maryville College in 1985. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and maintains yearly certification with them. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric NP as well as the Georgia Association of Pediatric NP. She is licensed by the State of Georgia as an RN and Advanced Practice Nurse. Roslyn is married with two sons, Aaron and David. She has been a P.N.P for 20 years; the last 10 of those with North Atlanta Pediatrics.
Pattie Sullivan, C.P.N.P
Pattie received her Bachelor's and Master's degree from Georgia State University. She worked at Scottish Rite (CHOA) for 18 years and has worked as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for 10 years. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certificate Board and maintains yearly certification with them. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners as well as the Georgia Association of N.P. She is licensed by the state of Georgia as an RN and Advanced Practice Nurse. She has been married 35 years and has two daughters, Christie and Mandy.
Barbara Chandler, C.P.N.P
Barbara received her under graduate degree from Vanderbilt University and her master's from Emory University. Her post-masters Pediatric Nurse Practitioners Certification was from University of Virginia. Barbara has worked for 25 years in Pediatrics, including employment with both Egleston Hospital and Duke University. She is member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurses. Barbara grew up primarily in the Atlanta area.
We have an experienced office staff including Front Office, Billing, Insurance and Referral personnel. In addition, our back office staff is made up of Medical Assistants, L.P.N.'s, Lab Tech, and R.N.'s.
